Your driver will be waiting for you atJuan Santamaria International Airport, near San José, at an elevation of 1,150 meters in the heart of the Central Valley, to take you to your hotel.

San José - Tortuguero
Departure for Costa Rica’s “Little Amazon.”
Early in the morning, depart on a group tour bound for themust-see Tortuguero region on the Caribbean coast.
Along the way, you’ll first pass through the lush Braulio Carrillo Park, covered in dense tropical rainforest drenched by torrential rains, before traveling alongside banana plantations—Costa Rica is one of the world’s leading exporters of bananas. At Caño Blanco or La Pavona, you’ll board a motorboat to navigate through the tropical flora and fauna to the lodge.
In the afternoon, you can visit the Caribbean village of Tortuguero.
Approximate driving time: 4 hours 30 minutes.

Tortuguero National Park
Costa Rica’s Little Amazon.
In the morning, departure for Tortuguero National Park. This vast aquatic park consists entirely of canals and lagoons nestled in the heart of an impressive jungle, which is why it’s nicknamed “Costa Rica’s Little Amazon.”
So, it is through this unique and extraordinary network of canals, rivers, and marshes in the heart of the jungle that you’ll set out with your guide to discover caimans, toucans, turtles, howler monkeys, parrots, sloths, iguanas, and multicolored birds.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy the lodge’s trails or participate in activities organized by the lodge.
Note: You may have the opportunity to observe turtles laying their eggs at night (from July through October).

Tortuguero - Guapiles - Arenal
Transportation from Tortuguero to Guápiles, then by road to Arenal.
In the morning after breakfast, you’ll sail to the Caño Blanco or La Pavona landing site before continuing by roadto Guápiles on a shared shuttle service.
Afterward, you’ll drive your own vehicle to the Arenal Volcano region.

A Walk Across the Suspension Bridges.
You’ll enjoy a roughly 3-kilometer trail through the primary forest and across about fifteen suspension bridges high above the canopy, offering breathtaking views of the tropical vegetation and Arenal Volcano!
At the end of the day, you’ll enjoy a relaxing moment at a spa in an intimate setting.
The hot waters come directly from the hot springs of the Arenal Volcano and never come into contact with the magma.

Arenal Volcano - Puntarenas - Isla Jesuita
Departure for the Costa Rican Pacific Coast.
You’ll leave the La Fortuna area, enjoying magnificent views of the Central Valley and Lake Arenal. Then you’ll take the famous Inter-American Highway before reaching Puntarenas, on the Pacific coast.
Approximate travel time: 3.5 hours.
In Puntarenas, you’ll take a ferry across the Gulf of Nicoyato Paquera and Isla Jesuita.

Jesuit Island
Enjoy a dream day on an island.
Make the most of your stay in the heart of the Gulf of Nicoya to experience its soothing and authentic atmosphere.
We recommend using the kayaks provided to explore the surrounding islands. You can also try stand-up paddleboarding on the gulf.
After dark, if visibility permits, you can take a trip out on the water in the hope of seeing the phenomenon of bioluminescent plankton that glow when stirred.

Final moments on this island at the end of the world, before returning to the mainland.
You’ll travel through the lush Nicoya Peninsula.

Today, you’ll head to the famous Monteverde region.
After some free time in Punta Islita, you’ll drive to the famous Monteverde cloud forest.

Monteverde Reserve
Morning hike through the heart of the Santa Elena Biological Reserve and its “Cloud Forest, ” located in one of the country’s most humid regions.
Today, you’ll explore lush vegetation in a prehistoric-looking setting where every tree is covered in moss.
This is the perfect opportunity to observe the many birds and animals that inhabit the forest and to enjoy the wonderful views of Arenal Volcano and the Guanacaste plains that the hike offers.

Monteverde - San José
Today, you’ll head back toward San José.
Free time to enjoy the many trails crisscrossing the areas around Monteverde and Santa Elena.
Then, you’ll depart for the capital.
After passing through the town of San Ramón, you can stop in Sarchí, the country’s premier artisanal center, which carries on a tradition of woodworking. The town, nestled amid coffee plantations on the southern slope of the Poás Volcano, is famous for its ox-drawn carts decorated with hand-painted floral and geometric patterns.
Continue on to Grecia, where you can visit the church whose brick-red steel panels were shipped by boat from Belgium to Costa Rica in 1897.
