Then arrive in La Fortuna, at the foot of the Arenal Volcano.

You’ll arrive in Sierpe, a small, remote village nestled in the heart of the mangroves of the same name and the main gateway to the wild Osa Peninsula. There, you’ll board a boat that will take you through the mangroves to the stunning beach resort of Bahia Drake, an iconic destination in Costa Rica.
Approximate travel time: about 1 hour by road, followed by 1.5 hours by boat.
In the afternoon, you’ll enjoy the stunning grounds of your hotel, which features a nature reserve connected to Corcovado National Park and offers plenty of wonders to observe throughout the day!

Corcovado National Park, Costa Rica’s wild gem!
An early morning departure for a day dedicated to exploring Corcovado National Park, considered the jewel of tropical rainforests. You’ll travel by boat and on foot through the largest tropical rainforest on the Pacific coast of the Americas, passing waterfalls and crystal-clear pools along the trails of La Sirena.
You’ll have the opportunity to observe a wide variety of birds, including the ferocious harpy eagle and scarlet macaws. This is also where you’re most likely to spot jaguars and tapirs, especially on the beaches at dusk.
Approximate duration: 1-hour boat ride to reach the La Sirena area from the lodge. The excursion lasts about 6 hours in total, including a 2.5-hour easy hike.

Isla del Caño (Corcovado Park)
A day dedicated to exploring Isla del Caño, a world-renowned diving spot!
This place, once sacred to the pre-Columbian Diquis people, is one of the must-see sites on Costa Rica’s Pacific coast.
The seabed is perfect for snorkeling. In the warm offshore waters, dolphins, whales, and manta rays swim side by side.
Depending on the time of year, you may be able to take a short walk on the island.
In the afternoon, return to the hotel by boat.
Note: The boat ride to the site takes about 45 minutes.
