What exactly is it?
Throughout your trip, you’ll need to pay close attention to what you see. Your mission is to take 12 photos in the country and send them to our special “adventurer” number to prove that you’ve completed your missions and deserve the title of Costa Rican explorer.

You’ll then have a booklet containing all the challenges to complete during your family trip.

San José - Tortuguero
Departure for Costa Rica’s “Little Amazon”
Early in the morning, depart on a shared shuttle to the must-see Tortuguero region on the Caribbean coast.
Along the way, you’ll first pass through the lush Braulio Carrillo Park, covered in dense tropical rainforest drenched by torrential rains, before traveling alongside banana plantations—Costa Rica is one of the world’s leading exporters of bananas.
In the afternoon, you can enjoy the gardens and the pool or visit the Caribbean village of Tortuguero.
Overnight stay with full board at a peaceful lodge in Tortuguero.
Tortuguero National Park
Explore Costa Rica’s “Little Amazon” and complete your first mission.
In the morning, depart for Tortuguero National Park.This vast aquatic park consists entirely of canals and lagoons nestled in the heart of an impressive jungle, which is why it’s nicknamed the “Little Amazon of Costa Rica.”
So, it’s through this unique and extraordinary network of canals, rivers, and marshes in the heart of the jungle that you’ll set out with your guide to discover caimans, toucans, turtles, howler monkeys, parrots, sloths, iguanas, and multicolored birds.
🕵️♀️You’ll need to keep your eyes peeled to complete your mission and send us a photo of a certain animal…
In the afternoon, you can enjoy the lodge’s trails or participate in activities starting from the lodge.
Overnight stay with full board at a peaceful lodge in Tortuguero.
Tortuguero - Guapiles - Arenal
Transportation from Tortuguero to Guápiles, then by road to Arenal.
In the morning after breakfast, you’ll travel by boat to the Caño Blanco or La Pavona landing site, depending on water levels, before continuing by road to Guápiles.
Note: Lunch is included in Guápiles.
After picking up your vehicle, you’ll head toward the Arenal region.
Overnight stay at a beautiful lodge in the Arenal region.

A walk across the suspension bridges.
You’ll enjoy a roughly 3-kilometer trail through the primary forest and across about fifteen suspension bridges high above the canopy, offering breathtaking views of the tropical vegetation and the Arenal Volcano! Take this opportunity to complete one of your missions: photograph a volcano!
Relax at a hot springs resort.
Treat yourself to a moment of relaxation and fun in the hot springs. You can enjoy the various baths, pools, and waterfalls. The hot waters come directly from the hot springs of Arenal Volcano and never come into contact with the magma.
Dinner included on site.

Arenal - Rincón de la Vieja Volcano
Set off for the province of Guanacaste, home of the Sabaneros—those proud and colorful cowboys.
You’ll travel along Lake Arenal, an ideal spot for windsurfing, before reaching Cañas, where you can stop at Las Pumas de Cañas Wildlife Park, a private sanctuary for big cats (jaguars, pumas, jaguarundis, margays, ocelots…).
You’ll then arrive in the Rincon de la Vieja National Park region. Established in 1973, the park is home to a very high concentrationof orchids, including the local flower, the “Guaria morada” (Guarianthe Skinneri).
Travel time: approximately 5 hours.

Rincon de la Vieja Volcano
Spend a day exploring the Rincon de la Vieja Volcano region.
After a 45-minute horseback ride through the dry tropical forest, you’ll arrive at La Catarata Victoria, where you’ll receive your own inflatable tube.
You’ll then float down the crystal-clear Río Negro and navigate through turbulent rapids. This fun-filled experience is one of the most enjoyable ways to explore this Guanacaste landscape.

Rincon de la Vieja Volcano - Samara
The Road from Rincon de la Vieja to Samara.
Today, you’ll hit the road toward the Samara region.
Once you arrive, you can enjoy the beach.

Take advantage of a free day to explore the region.
Spend some free time in this small seaside resort located in the center of the Nicoya Peninsula. Nestled in a four-kilometer-long bay, the sea here is relatively calm. You can enjoy the beaches and tropical vegetation,explore the seabed with a mask and snorkel, go horseback riding, or take a boat trip on the Pacific…

Monteverde Reserve
A morning dedicated to a natural history tour of the Curi Cancha Reserve.
Accompanied by a specialized guide from the reserve, you’ll hike along small trails surrounded by nature to discover various species of birds and mammals and learn all about the incredible diversity of the cloud forest.
